How To Integrate Authorize.Net With Shopify dhbrqq

Accepting payments is an essential part of running an online store. Shopify makes it easy to build and manage an ecommerce site, but you still need to connect a payment gateway to actually process customer transactions. Authorize.Net is one of the most widely-used merchant services, especially by small businesses. Integrating it with your Shopify shop only takes a few steps.

First, login to your Authorize.Net account at www.authorize.net and retrieve your API login ID and transaction key. These credentials authenticate your account when connecting with third-party platforms like Shopify. To find them, go to Account > Settings > Security Settings > General Security Settings. Scroll down until you see sections labeled “API Login ID” and “Transaction Key.” Copy both for later use.

Next, go to  How To Integrate Authorize.Net With Shopify  for your ecommerce store. Click “Settings” at the bottom left and choose “Payments.” On the Payments settings page, locate the “Alternative Payments” section. Click the button to "+Add payment provider" and select "Authorize.Net" from the list.

On the Authorize.Net setup screen in Shopify, paste your API login ID and transaction key into the fields provided. Make sure to toggle the switch for “Accept credit cards” to the on position. You can also expand optional features like automated recurring billing through stored customer profiles.

Once credentials and features are configured, enable PCI-compliant security requirements. This includes verifying your business address and adding an account administrator. Click “Activate Authorize.Net” when finished.

Shopify will ping Authorize.Net servers to verify the connection and provide access permissions to your payment gateway account. Follow any remaining activation prompts in the Shopify Payments settings.

After activation completes, you can test transactions and customize order settings related to Authorize.Net. Go to Settings > Payments > Manage next to your connected Authorize.Net account. Play around with features and values for payment confirmation, credited funds delivery timing, and order approval requirements.

And that’s it! Shopify will now route all customer payments through your Authorize.Net merchant account. It integrates permission levels, data encryption, security protocols and more between the platforms for smooth transaction handling from checkout to bank transfer. Customers simply see your normal Shopify storefront with optimized Authorize.Net processes securely powering purchases behind the scenes.
